this is the title of the post from the 4th workshop
There's a chill in the air...
Despite this evening's chill, the light rain, the early dark, I'm enjoying this evening's endeavours.
EEEk! It works!
I am pleased to know that I can follow directions and find myself in a completely new realm of internet communication. I was an early internet user but have not kept up to date with blogs, YouTube, 2nd Life, etc...it all seems so, so...well, virtual.
I want real. Is that too much to ask from a digital environment?
Looking forward to the workshop tonight,
Cheers, Evalee Smith

Learner Blogger
Hi all,
I am a new recruit blogger, trying this for the first time.
Where does this go? Who will see it? What use will it have?
Who could I talk to and how?
We shall see.....Rachele

Prior to the 4th Blogging workshop...
If you are one of the lucky people attending the booked-out workshop on Wednesday 8 November congratulations. Leading up to the workshop each day we will be posting some suggestions for you to consider prior to attending the workshop.
However, before you start thinking about the content of your blog, lets start with the real basics. Wikipedia link talks about the history of blogs since 1994, and what they have be used for over time.
If you are aware of websites about blogs that others might find useful - why not leave a comment and share your suggestions.

Thanks to everyone who came...
to the workshop this week. You created some great blogs and we had a lot of fun. We look forward to seeing some of those blogs develop and grow - good luck!
We'd like to give a special thanks to Eynesbury Senior College for providing the excellent venue and professional computing lab facilities. Thanks to Principal Tony Stimson for his generous support, Tony Saunders for IT support and Craig Sinclair for patient on-site assistance.
Although we don't have any more Blogging workshops planned, please email ALIA SA Local Liaison Officer Fiona Butcher with your interest - we may consider scheduling a 4th workshop if there is sufficient interest.
However, 2007 will see us running a regular series of hands on workshops on different aspects of Web 2.0 technology. Watch out for details about our next Basic 101 workshop on Wikis, coming soon in March!

Yes good workshop apart from being late. Computering is so fiddly you really need help.

If you are attending and not able to add a post to the blog, due to restrictions in your work environment, try posting a comment. The session is designed for you to have hands on practice, here is your opportunity!
